Ethanol Distribution Program

The Ethanol Distribution Program is intended to increase the number of service stations selling 10 per cent ethanol blended petrol (E10), increase the volume of E10 sold and encourage the sale of E10 at a lower price than regular unleaded petrol. Grants of up to $20k are available to retail service stations to reduce the cost of installing or converting infrastructure to supply E10.

Ethanol Production Grants

The EPG program is an eligibility-based program; its objective is to encourage the use of biofuels in transport in Australia. The program is available to ethanol producers until 30 June 2011. Ethanol Production Grants are paid to ethanol producers at a rate of 38.143 cents per litre.
